Thomas Carnegie, the Scottish-American industrialist, and his wife purchased more than 90% of this island in the 19th century. Dungeness Ruins represent their winter gateway home.

Locating near the Savannah River entrance, the current lighthouse was built as the previous one was severely damaged due to the hurricane.

Cathedral of St John the Baptist

Colonial Park Cemetery

Since this is another cemetery, you can totally remove this from the list. But, before that, I will give you the reasons why I’ve mentioned it here. 

If you are a history lover or love ghost hunting, Colonial Park Cemetery in Savannah is ideal for you. 

Yes, it is true. The history of this place is very deep and dark. Therefore people consider this place as the city’s most haunted place. 

Many first settlers in Georgia are resting in this place since 1750 (Including some of the specially highlighted deaths). For example, 700 victims from the yellow fever pandemic in 1820. 

After the Civil War, this savannah was largely abandoned. So, Willian Sherman, a famous American soldier, gifted this city to Abraham Lincon as a Christmas present.

Krog Steel Tunnel

Connecting two neighborhoods in Atlanta, the Krog Steel Tunnel was built in 1912. Do not misunderstand. This is not an ordinary tunnel covered with graffiti.
