How to reach Rocky Mountain National Park from Denver
Visiting Rocky Mountain National Park is like visiting Switzerland from Denver. Yes, it has such views of snow-capped mountains, lush surroundings, rocks, stunning lakes, amazing hiking trails, and many more.
There are 2 ways to reach this NP. By bus or drive yourself. Driving yourself will save you time as it takes only 1 hour and 45 minutes. Do not forget to view all the stunning views on your way as they are so Instagramable.
But, if you take a bus ride, then it will take more than 2 hours. I will tell you how to travel by bus. Take a bus at Union Station Gate B17. And, it will reach Broadway & Euclid Ave within 50 minutes. You have to hop off from there and take a taxi to reach Rocky Mountain. And the taxi will take around 1h 20 min.

Day Trip Itinerary in Rocky Mountain National Park
I know it is not sufficient one day to explore this beautiful NP. But, what to do, let’s plan.
Start your day as early as possible. Try to reach the park at around 8.30 am. That means you have to come from Denver at 6.30 am. Do not forget to have breakfast before you enter the park. There are some restaurants in Grand Lake. Choose one and have a strong breakfast. Do not forget to pack something for your lunch as well.
Things to do in Denver: Kawuneeche Visitor Center
However, you should enter the park at around 9 am. First, you will find the Kawuneeche Visitor Center to get all the information, maps, and NP guidelines.
Enter the Rocky Mountain NP
After getting all the information, enter into the Rocky Mountain NP via Trail Ridge Road. If you want, you can drive all the way to Estes Park while watching the beautiful scenery on the way. It will take around 2 hours to complete.
Or you can choose to walk by discovering the beauty of the park.
However, there are plenty of hiking trails in the park. Approximately they have 355 miles of well-maintained trails. The special feature of these trails is that finally, they are connected towards Grand Lake. While walking along these trails, you will get spectacular views of nature. You will feel like you are in Europe.

The Best Time to Visit Denver
Since Denver gets plenty of sunshine throughout the year, there’s no bad time to visit Denver. But, the majority of tourists are attracted to this city from June to August because it is summer with a warm and arid climate. As usual, the problem with the high season is high prices for everything.
If you are looking to overcome the high season barriers, then visit Denver in the shoulder seasons. (from April to May and from September to October). Then, you can find fewer tourists and fewer prices at everything.

Summer

Spring
Spring starts in April and ends in May. Actually, Spring is a shoulder season, and I highly recommend you travel to Denver in Spring. As flowers start to bloom, wildlife comes out, and nature becomes so energetic after winter. On the other hand, you can still experience some snow activities as well.

Fall
Again fall, or Autumn is the next shoulder season for you. Starting from September to October, it offers you a cold climate. But, still, nature is awesome here. Winter
From November to March, Denver experiences winter. And this snowy climate attracts skiers and snowboarders to Rocky Mountain National Park.
